Pittrice veneta, ha iniziato fin da giovanissima a disegnare ritratti a matita cimentandosi quasi subito con la pittura ad olio. Ha coltivato la passione per la storia dell’arte trovandovi motivi di riflessione e approfondimento. Si è dedicata per alcuni anni alla decorazione ceramica affinando le tecniche di pittura su superfici non piane e sviluppando originali progetti nel settore della ceramica industriale.
Negli ultimi anni la pittrice si è dedicata completamente allo studio dell’arte, ed in particolare alla pittura ad olio, concentrandosi sulla ricerca formale e cromatica.
I temi paesaggistici della laguna veneta, dove lei è vissuta per parecchi anni, gli scorci fluviali del Sile ed i ritratti delle persone colte nell’atto di compiere semplici azioni quotidiane sono diventati progressivamente più intimi ed informali, mentre le atmosfere ed i sentimenti hanno iniziato a prevalere sull’effetto fotografico.
Il percorso artistico della pittrice, è stato ed è tuttora, caratterizzato da progressi scanditi in occasione delle mostre personali e collettive. Nei quadri di Mirella Scotton la passione e l’istintività dell’artista si fanno interpreti di ambienti famigliari, come il Sile o la laguna veneta, o di esperienze intensamente vissute e ricercate come Venezia, Parigi, San Francisco e Vienna.

Her work concentrated on decorations upon ceramics, refining the techniques necessary for painting upon Non-flat surfaces and developing original artistic projects in the industrial ceramic sector. During the past Few years the artist hat completely dedicated herself to an in-depth study of Art, with particular emphasis On oil painting and concentration on formal and chromatic color phenomena research.
The landscape themes of the Venetian lagoon, the views of the Sile River, and the paintings of people Caught in the act of doing simple everyday actions have become progressively more intimate and informal, While atmosphere and sentiments have begun to prevail upon the photographic effect. Recently the themes Of snow and ice have been added to her artistic portfolio. The pictorial technique has progressed at the same speed as the internal process of composition, which has nevertheless remained free of formal bonds: Respect for the rules does not condition the expression of sentiments / feelings nor the form through which these are presented in Mirella’s works.
